Every big streaming app lets you save films and episodes to your phone and watch them later with the internet off. JioHotstar, Prime Video, Netflix, SonyLIV, ZEE5 and ManoramaMAX all have it. It is perfect for a Gulf flight home with Premalu or a long bus ride with Kerala Crime Files.
How to do it
Open the title in the app and tap the download arrow beside the play button or each episode. Pick a quality first; the smaller setting saves space and data. The file waits in the app's Downloads tab and plays in airplane mode.
Which app has it
Open the title on DVDPlay, pick your country, and Watch Now shows the apps carrying it. Choose one with a download button.
Good to know
Downloads stay available for a set period and refresh when you reconnect, and rentals start their viewing window when you first press play.
