Subtitles live in the player of the app you open with Watch Now. Tap the Audio and Subtitles icon and choose. English subtitles are on nearly every Malayalam film, and many Tamil and Telugu films carry Malayalam subtitles too.
Sharing Malayalam cinema
Subtitles are how friends from other states fall for Malayalam films. Put on Kumbalangi Nights, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey or Nna Thaan Case Kodu with English subtitles and every joke lands.
Size and style
Most apps let you change the subtitle size and background in settings. On a TV, a larger size with a dark background reads best.
Accessibility
Look for CC or AD in the same menu for closed captions and audio description.
